Parenting and Paperbacks
Want to chat with other parents about the parenting book you just read? Are you looking for a place to discuss the joys and difficulties of raising kids? Join us for Parenting and Paperbacks!
We will be talking about a specific topic, and you are invited to read a book (or two) and come ready to add to the conversation. If you don't have the opportunity to read a book, come for the discussion anyway! For this meeting, we'll be talking about friendship for kids and parents. Books on this topic include The Other Significant Others; Big Friendship: How We Keep Each Other Close; The People We Keep; You Will Find Your People; Find Your People: Building Deep Community in a Lonely World; Platonic: How the Science of Attachment Can Help You Make and Keep Friends; Friends: Understanding the Power of Our Most Important Relationships; The Life Council; Text Me When You Get Home; Why Will No One Play With Me; Growing Friendships: A Kid’s Guide to Making and Keeping Friends; A Smart Girl’s Guide to Friendship Troubles; Raising a Kid Who Can; Getting From Me to We; Queen Bees and Wannabees; Masterminds and Wingmen.
We welcome kids to come along with their grownups. We'll lay out some toys, but you are responsible for your child while in the library.
