Meet Dwayne Everett
The Burlington County Library System is so lucky to have a team with wide-ranging knowledge and diverse interests. While many customers may know the names and faces of librarians at their local branch, we want to take the time to introduce more of our staff from around the system.
Hello friends! My name is Dwayne Everett. I'm a library assistant at the Evesham Library and I've been with BCLS since 2005. Most days, you will see me at the circulation desk, and occasionally catch me overseeing a Build It program. Interacting, assisting and forming friendships with the Evesham community are what I enjoy most about working here at BCLS. Stop by and say hi!
Some fun facts about me:
- I have a cat named Izzy.
- I was a UPS driver before working at the library.
- I grew up in Louisiana and still have an accent after 25 years living here, but make no mistake; I'm proudly from New Jersey!
- I love going to concerts. Four bands I have already marked off my bucket list are: Metallica, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tool and Guns N’ Roses.
- I enjoy watching sports in my spare time. The NFL, NBA and golf are at the top of the list but I still have a soft spot for professional wrestling, which is real by the way.
- My top five TV shows: True Detective, The Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under and The Office.
- My top five movies: There Will Be Blood, The Godfather: Part 2, Pulp Fiction, Wedding Crashers and Tommy Boy.
- I like to read the classics and non-fiction. The Outsiders and Call of the Wild are still two of my favorite books. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill has had the biggest impact on me personally. I have adhered to the principles of positive thinking ever since reading the book almost 20 years ago. PMA all day!
