Meet Page and Dewey
The Burlington County Library System is so lucky to have a team with wide-ranging knowledge and diverse interests. While many customers may know the names and faces of librarians at their local branch, we want to take the time to introduce more of our staff from around the system.
Hi, I'm Page! I help out around the Burlington County Library every winter and after a few months at the North Pole, I'm ready to head back to Burlington County! I love zipping around the library in my sleigh, reading books at night and getting into a little trouble with my friend Dewey. While I've been assigned to the library for a few years, Dewey joined the team in 2017 and is still continuing his training to be a scout elf.
Before the library, Dewey and I were at the North Pole full-time. It takes a lot of daily maintenance and preparation to get ready for the big day. Most of the year is spent building, fixing and double checking to make sure that everything runs smoothly for the boss during his trip around the world! Now that I'm a scout elf, I can provide the same assistance at the library and that's why I'm excited to be returning at the end of this month!
My favorite things about the library are all of the cool programs, crafts and storytimes offered to all ages. From babies to seniors, there's always something happening at your local branch! Explore the online events calendar to see what's going on at the location closest to you. Large books can be tough for a small elf like me to carry, which is why I use Libby! I downloaded the app to my smartphone and can read or listen to stories all day. Even after the library closes, I can still find something to read with Libby.
I'm looking forward to our arrival at the Burlington County Library. While we're used to traveling very fast, Dewey checked out a book on amazing road trips and really wants us to take our time getting down to New Jersey. We'll be seeing the sights along the way and sharing them with you each week on the BCLS Instagram page.
