This month's book selection is The Women by Kristin Hannah.

Young and sheltered nursing student Frances "Frankie" McGrath makes a daring change as the world enters a new era in the mid-1960s--she decides to serve alongside her brother in Vietnam as an Army nurse. While away, Frankie learns a lot about hope, life, death, and betrayal and safely returns home a hero--until she and her veteran friends come under fire in a nation divided by social and political beliefs. This is a story not just of war, but of all of the heroines', whose sacrifice and dedication too often go unremembered. 

Our book selections cover all genres and take member input into consideration. During each six month period, we discuss at least one nonfiction book and one classic book. We engage in a guided discussion of the book, using questions provided by a librarian. This book club is best suited for adults, but all are welcome to join.
