Shining a Light on (Her)story

Join Dr. Jacquelin Agostini, Ph.D, as she teaches this 6-part series that uncovers how many of the issues that our Founding Mothers were fighting for are still in jeopardy today. Trace women's history starting with some of the earliest social justice movements, such as the Temperance and Abolitionist Movements, up to the modern-day obstacles being experienced.
This series will emphasize the diversity of women's history, and anyone with a special knowledge is welcome to do a class presentation. Be prepared for educational, lively discussions. Women are still confronting the shackles of patriarchy and owe it to their earlier pioneers as well as their female progeny to fight for a more just world and to most of all VOTE!
Classes will be held on Thursdays at 10am, September through November. Find each date below:
