Ways for Kids to Play

Each month, children six and under are invited to drop in to Stay & Play at the library. For one hour, they will find the entire children’s area transformed into a wonderland of children’s playtime featuring an obstacle course and STEM stations.

In addition to the monthly obstacle course, Bordentown Library offers pop-up STEM days. Come to the library and request to play with a variety of STEM kits or the STEM cart. Grab Beat the Quake and construct a building that can withstand all five levels of the earthquake simulator. If you want to build something bigger and colorful, grab Picasso Tiles and construct 3-D magnetic buildings!

Ways for Tweens and Teens to Play

Bordentown Library also has monthly gaming programs for teens and tweens. Once a month, you can join other young game enthusiasts for table top role-playing games (RPGs) at Table Top Role Playing Game Night. With a quick set-up and an easy to understand playing system, this is great for RPG newbies. Currently, you can participate in a science fiction RPG called Tiny Frontiers. Join the crew as a hologram, autoborg, or a modified human and explore the universe with a squad of new friends!

In addition, you can come in and play some video games with the Bordentown Gaming Club! The club meets once a month and you can pick up a controller that’s provided or bring your own. You’ll make new friends and play some exciting Nintendo games with your newfound party.

Or maybe you’re looking to game face-to-face. If so, join Gaming Club Unplugged! Gather around the table with some friends to play some classic board games. Once a month, you and others can battle it out on a board game night.
