You already know your BCLS library card offers access to a variety of print and digital material for both education and leisure. And while you might be familiar with downloading eBooks through Overdrive with the Libby app on your smart device, or viewing movies through Kanopy, we want to introduce you to Tumblebooks!

1. The site is easy to navigate; just enter your library card number and choose a tab to get started on:

• Story Books featuring new stories in different categories like Award Winners, Best Sellers and even music playlists.
• Read-alongs for every reading level.
• eBooks featuring popular eBooks for kids that you might not find on Overdrive.
• Graphic Novels that highlight classic characters, early readers, advanced readers and mysteries available in the graphic novel format.
• Non-Fiction featuring a large collection of subjects for school reports or simply curious kids.
• Videos featuring educational videos about a variety of subjects to stream onto your device.
• Language Learning books available in Spanish and French for kids interested in learning a new language.
• Playlists separated by timed reading for those who have a specific reading time goal in mind.
• Puzzles and Games that reinforce knowledge gained from reading.

2. A Book of the Day is featured daily for each category in a scrolling banner, which is a great way to find your next favorite book. Use this when you’re not sure what to read next.
    
3. Unit plans are also available in digital form to be used in a classroom or individual student setting – a great feature for homeschool families and teachers! Each plan includes links to books available on Tumblebooks that correlate with the theme and a detailed outline of discussion prompts and activities to share with students.
    
4. Add books to your Favorites to save titles you want to read again and again!

5. Create a Playlist with the TumbleBook Player to play chosen books one after another automatically. This is perfect for a continuous story time set up!
