Generous Donations to Riverton and Beverly Libraries
The Burlington County Library System Foundation (BCLSF) is pleased to announce that it has received two generous donations from community benefactors that have been earmarked for improvements to Riverton and Beverly Libraries.
A donation of $25,000 from Vanguard Charitable and attributable to the Thomas R. and Deborah K. Whitesell Charitable Fund will be used for a variety of investments at the Riverton Branch Library.
“We hope to expand and improve public service areas by maximizing space in our branch with the smallest footprint,” said Library Director Ranjna Das. “The funds will help us modernize the space without affecting the small-town cozy feel of the branch.”
A second donation, a Legacy Gift of $10,000 from the Estate of Gary L. Frisby of Riverside, will go towards the Beverly Library. The funds will support multiple projects and ongoing expenses. Mr. Frisby was a military veteran and long-time Riverside resident.
“We are genuinely gratified that Mr. Frisby included the library in his estate plans,” said Foundation President Pat Lindsay-Harvey. “Both of these contributions will help our smallest libraries stay relevant as community touch points.”
