Korean Dance and Percussion Performance
Enjoy a powerful performance of Korean dance and percussion music when the Korean School of Southern New Jersey (KSSNJ) K-Arts Company presents “Spirit of Korea” live in the Burlington County Library Auditorium on Saturday, May 13 at 2 pm. Registration is not required.
The most famous traditional Korean cultural performance group in the area, KSSNJ K-Arts Company will showcase its newly revamped Samgomu (three-drum dance) and Buchaechum (fan dance) programs. Enjoy the powerful beats of the traditional drums and Janggu (hourglass-shaped drum). Children's creative dance "Jakyakjijeung" and a flash mob performance to K-Pop will add more diversity to the event.
The nonprofit KSSNJ educates students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade about Korean language and culture. The students’ knowledge of Korea is expanded through performance classes focusing on Korean traditional dances and drums, and the students share their Korean culture and pride by performing in communities throughout the tri-state area.
Admission is free and open to the public. Seating for this special library performance will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please note: the Burlington County Library Auditorium has a strict seating capacity of 250 people.)
