Presented by The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey on Saturday, April 1 at 2 pm, the show will make visitors feel like they’ve been magically transported to the woods outside Athens, right there with the Lovers, Mechanicals and Fairies! Featuring several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta, the play is considered Shakespeare’s most successful, popular comedy.
The acclaimed Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is the state's largest professional theatre company and, according to its website, is “dedicated solely to the presentation of Shakespeare's canon and other classic dramatic entertainments for the cultural enrichment of the community.” A teaching theatre, it integrates education and learning into all its endeavors.
Registration for this special library performance is not required, but seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please note: the Burlington County Library Auditorium has a strict seating capacity of 250 people.)
