1. Use Book Match to find your cozy fireplace read. If you’re caught up on your to-be-read list and don’t want to be left out in the cold this holiday season, BCLS can help! Take advantage of our staff’s expertise and experience with Book Match. Answer a few questions about your literary likes and dislikes and you’ll be connected with five personalized recommendations.  
2. Steal away for some peace and quiet in a private study room. Yearning for a silent night away from the house? Reserve a space to study or work without disruption! Workspaces and study rooms are available at seven of our locations across the system. Bookings can be made over the phone, in person or online.  
3. Stay resolute on those New Year’s resolutions. New Year’s Day is a time to celebrate change and if you want to get a leap on your goals for 2024 make sure to swing by the library. Whether you are looking to lose weight, learn a new language, or pick up a pastime, BCLS can help you start anew.  
4. Become a pro giver of gifts with Consumer Reports. Need new headphones but not sure which brand is best? The library has print and digital versions of Consumer Reports, the go-to guide for reviews on everything from cars to washing machines. Your friends and family will thank you!  
5. Discover delicious new recipes. What is winter without tasty food? Celebrate soup season with chowders, broths and bisques, or bake tasty treats like rugelach to be the envy of the neighborhood at the holiday cookie swap.  
6. Scope out some holiday displays with our Museum Pass program. Interested in soaking up some culture at sites across the tri-state area? Check out the Museum Pass program offered through BCLS. Explore art, history and science with a little help from us for you and the family. Since it is first-come, first-served, make sure to book those tickets fast!  
7. Take advantage of our tech offerings. Thoughts of a visit to grandma’s house without streaming or even internet got you feeling like the Grinch? Cheer up! BCLS patrons can borrow tablets and mobile Wi-Fi hotspots at multiple library locations.
