Meet the Panelists
Cozy Mystery Writers
Peggy Ehrhart is the author of the Knit & Nibble mystery series, featuring Pamela Paterson, founder and mainstay of the Arborville knitting club, nicknamed “Knit and Nibble.”
Michael Falco is a graduate of New York University and has studied at Playwrights Horizons and Gotham Writers Workshop. He currently lives in Secaucus, NJ, where he is working on the next Bria Bartolucci Mystery.
Tina Kashian worked as a New Jersey Deputy Attorney General, a patent attorney and a mechanical engineer. Her love of reading fiction for pleasure helped her get through years of academia. Her law cases inspired an inquiring mind of crime, and since then, Tina has been hooked on mysteries.
Katie Siegal's debut novel, Charlotte Illes Is Not A Detective, was published in June 2023 by Kensington Books. Her second book, Charlotte Illes is Not A Teacher, was released in July of 2024 and was a finalist for the 2025 Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ+ Mystery.
Historical Fiction Mystery Writers
Kelsey James has always loved telling stories. As a young child, she liked to ask her listeners if her characters should get scared, or hurt, or DIE. Her process has stayed remarkably consistent over the years, and today she is a historical suspense novelist.
Patrice McDonough is a Jersey girl, splitting her time between the Garden State and Florida, which should have improved her golf game but hasn't! She spends her leisure time traveling, sailing, watching classic movies, begging her golf ball to land on the fairway, and reading the histories, mysteries, and historical novels piled high on her night table.
Maria Tureaud specializes in characterization, internal/external conflict, deep POV, show versus tell, and voice, and she loves to help writers balance craft with creativity in order to produce the best possible product. Helping both agented and Indie authors, Maria makes it her mission to help writers everywhere share their stories.
