What a summer it was! From magical moments and amazing animals to exciting science, toe-tapping music and more, our annual Summer at the Library program brought creativity, discovery and fun to libraries across BCLS. We had a wonderful time celebrating the season with our community, and we hope you did, too!
This summer, our community read, explored and created together — logging more than 135,000 minutes of reading and completing 995 activities. While the Summer at the Library reading and activity challenge has come to an end, the fun doesn’t stop. There’s always something happening at your local library. Check out our upcoming events and keep the adventure going!
Please consider joining our Fall into Reading challenge on Beanstack, which kicked off Sept. 1. Keep the fun going all season long by reading books, writing reviews and completing fall-themed activities to earn digital badges. You’ll find plenty of activities to enjoy with friends and family while celebrating the season. Be sure to keep your Beanstack account up to date and check back throughout the year for new reading challenges and activities for the whole family!
Did you make a library memory this summer? We’d love to hear about it! Share your favorite library experience on social media and tag us on Instagram and/or Facebook. And even though summer is winding down, there’s still plenty to discover at the library. Visit the Children’s Area or your local branch to search for items featured in our monthly contests, find books to get ready for the new school year and enjoy an upcoming program. There’s something for everyone!
