Need Homework Help? BCLS to the Rescue!

With the new school year upon us, homework is just around the corner. Fortunately, BCLS has your student covered! Visit the BCLS website and explore Homework Help for resources designed to support learners of all ages. For an even more comprehensive selection of resources for elementary through high school students, visit our Resources for Students page. There, you’ll find databases, subject-specific resources and helpful blog posts to support students throughout the school year.

If you have a student in need, from kindergarten through high school, Brainfuse: Help Now has fantastic resources on demand. If your child is in need of extra help, there is live online tutoring that can be accessed 24/7. There’s also a Writing Lab, skill-building videos and practice tests, as well as note-taking assistance and virtual study rooms. Brainfuse is structured to help students get through a rough patch with tutoring help, then improve their studying and research techniques. Create an account for your student to access Brainfuse, and they are on their way.

Explora Primary School is a great resource for elementary and intermediate school students. This database has subjects to easily explore, as well as popular topics. There are also digital magazines for your little reader, like Ranger Rick and Highlights. It’s a great source of easily navigable information for your young learner’s school projects.

When your student has an academic paper to create, Primary Search is your go-to database. Students get to experience searching an academic database that is created just for their age group. All full-text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (also known as a Lexile).

Introduce your elementary and intermediate school students to World Almanac for Kids Online, and they might forget they’re even doing homework! Designed to feel more like an online news magazine than a traditional reference resource, it makes learning fun and engaging while encouraging kids to explore their favorite topics.

Explora Middle Schools offers an easily accessible database with popular searchable subjects, as well as downloadable middle grade biographies and nonfiction books that students can access as a PDF. If it’s Sunday evening and your middle schooler needs another source but the library is closed, this digital library is always open.

For high schoolers, there is a page dedicated to all their library needs. Head to the Teens and Young Adults page and you will find a treasure trove of reading resources, library programs and teen-specific databases.

Whether your little learner is braving kindergarten, or your big learner is embracing senior year, BCLS has all your homework needs covered!
